Fishing was tough but this guy still showed us a good time.. he knows the river and the people on it extremely well.. his boat was comfortable and he took care of everything we needed. And over all he's a great guy who really loves his job and his community.. well definitely be back soon

We were lucky enough to get on Jacob's Boat a year ago and have been out 3 times with him since the Our initial trip. He is a great guide and more importantly a true fisherman. We put fish on the boat every trip and our group has decided we will fish with Jacob at least twice year. Great guy, excellent Guide and a man Who loves to fish as much as we do! Thanks for all the great times Jacob, many more to come!

Best fishing experience I've had with a guide yet! Jacob is relentless in his pursuit to find fish for his clients. If the fish are in the river he will find them for you. We caught limits of Salmon because we fished several spots and used several different techniques. I have been on many guided trips in the last few years and haven't had much luck in bagging a limit until I lucked out by finding Jacob. Almost didn't write this review because I really don't want to share him, lol. Since I only can make it up a couple times a year I figured I'd spread the word. Now get out there and rip some lips

Jacob is awesome! We had the best day and he never gave up in trying to get us a fish! He also has the cutest boat mascot Benny!!

Jacob is hands down the best guide I have had the pleasure of fishing with. He took me on my first fly fishing trip and was patient and understanding throughout the entire day. With his help, I went from pitifully wrapping myself in feet of line to catching my first trout on a fly. For seasoned experts or novice anglers, I can't recommend him highly enough!

Great day on the River with Frye's Guide service! I am a beginner in fishing and Jacob made sure to thoroughly explain and walk me through the entire process of fishing. It was a great learning experience and Jacob was great about helping and never made me feel bad about not knowing things. He was very friendly and made the whole trip enjoyable and fun. We caught some big Salmon and got to take a lot of Fish home to eat. Highly recommend taking a trip with Jacob Frye Guides service!

Went on my first Salmon trip last year with Jacob and got hooked. Booked more trips with him and also went sturgeon fishing. Absolutely professional and great person to go out with you no matter your skill level. Would highly recommend him to anyone unless you are trying to go on the days I already got booked. Those are mine lol.

I've gone salmon fishing with this outfitter for the past couple years, every time has been incredible. Jacob Frye is a local guy who was raised on the Sacramento River and knows these water ways like the back of his hand. He puts a lot of time and effort year round into his passion and his clients reap the rewards. I had never been salmon fishing before going with Captain Frye, and now I won't go with anyone else. He took the time to answer all this novice fisherman's questions and helped me fill my freezer. A true outdoorsman with great conversation skills and all around good guy. Jake is the best. He works very hard to put you into fish. He is a very pleasant guy to spend an entire day with....or more. He is a good boat operator. He knows his local water and is versatile. He can get you into Shad,sturgeon ,salmon stripers, trout or whatever's out there-depending on the water and time of year.

This man Jacob frye is one of the best guides in the north state. He put us on the spot limited out before lunch. He's very knowledgeable of the river and very helpful.
